Daniela Rojze was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She grew up surrounded by music, literature and visual arts and cultivated the three areas until choosing the last one as her main channel of expression.
She paints spaces, open and closed, and cannot but recognize the impact of her own environment in her art. She attributes the love of silence and mystery, of open, deserted spaces and dark stone-built interiors often seen in her paintings to the years lived in Israel and the long train journeys across the Patagonia. She also credits Canada with giving her the peaceful and beautiful atmosphere necessary to create and display the results of her years of training and experience as an artist.
She has lived in Toronto with her family since 2003.
